"TNK Art” gallery presents an exhibition of the best contemporary artist of Russia "New Look”.

The exhibition features works of such artists as Zharkov Yury, Kokurin Valeriy, Sevost'yanov Vladimir, Jevakin, Malafeevsky Leonid and many others. All of them are participants of many exhibitions in Russia and abroad, their works can be found in collections of well known museums, as well as in private collections around the world. Also, they are all members of Russian Artist Union, most of them are Honored Artist of the Russian Federation.

Exposition of the "new look" is special project for the gallery, for it emphasizes the basic concept of the exhibition space - to open new dimensions of perception of modern classical art.
Paintings displayed at the exhibition, combine traditions of the classical styles and new semantic content, which creates a context for new interpretations of Russian art.
A wide range of genres presented in exposure (painting, drawing, sculpture) makes it possible to form a holistic perception of the trends prevailing in the modern classical art.

The exhibition introduces visitors to the aesthetic and philosophical discourse, reasoning about transformations of meaning and new representational strategies in the works of Russian artists.

Images are embodied in the works of artists are individual and unique, but together they form a single system of communication - a unique language of signs and symbols of cultural identity and russian way of life, which acquires a new meaning in the context of modernity.

The display showcases works by Honored painter of Russia Victor Bychkov. It’s his first solo exhibition in Moscow. Having experienced the influence of the 19th century Russian realism, V. Bychkov developed his own manner of art. There’s neither excessive action, nor over exaggerated plot in master’s painting. In each art piece there’re only references, valuable for their manner of painting, style. The painting by Victor Bychkov is a kind of narrative, full of details. The composition and plot are elaborated, all the details that could be read as metaphors of present-day Russia are balanced. Victor Bychkov was born in 1956; in 1988 the young artist graduated from the St. Petersburg State Academy Institute of Fine Arts, Sculpture and Architecture named after I. Repin. In 1996 he became a Regional Prize Laureate. Victor Bychkov is a participant of many exhibitions in Russia and abroad. His works can be found in the collections of the Museum of the Russian Academy of Arts, the Museum of Fine Arts in Murom, the Museum of Fine Arts in Ivanovo, as well as in private collections around the world.

"Tsunami"

This exhibition represents pieces of art by Honored painter of Russia – Leonid Malafeevskij. He is one of the most significant painters of Yaroslavl painting school. The exhibition times to the 1- year anniversary of the earthquake and tsuanmi that hit Japan in March 2011. The exhibition enables visitors to investigate the dramatic play of light and shadow, luminous streams and colour gradations, let them into picturesque mysterious world. One of the dramatic and emotionally intense pieces of art will be given to the Japan ambassador as a gift - symbol of our sorrow and empathy. Leonid Malafeevskij was born in 1954. He practices painting since 1980. He is an Opekushin Prize Laureate (regional premium in fine arts) and APA–FERRARIO Prize laureate, in 2003 was rewarded with silver medal of Russian Academy of Arts. His works can be found in art museums and private collections in Russian as well as in England, Germany, Italy, Belgium and in the USA.

"Christmas stories"

Christmas stories

This exhibition showcases more than 50 masterpieces of the most significant artists of the second half of the xx century – A. Buldygin, V. Sevostyanov, L. Malafeevskij, U. Jarkov, V. Dynnikov, and others. All of them are participants of different Russian and international exhibitions. Their works can be found in art museums and private collections worldwide.

The exhibition will enable visitors to investigate pieces of art (both painting and graphic works) everyone of which could be called a pictorial christmas story. All the artworks are different in genre, manner, technique that allows to reveal the great range of styles and trends in modern Russian art.

The exhibition also represents some etchings by Honored painter of Russia U. Tkachev as well as sculpture by Petr Mavshov.

"TNK Art" Gallery is pleased to present one of the outstanding exhibition projects – “Not Invented”.

The exhibition showcases current trends of modern classical art, presented in artworks by Dmitry Surin, Anton Ivanov, Michael Gilenkov, Urij Malanenkov and Vladimir Chehlov. They are all Famous Russian painters, brilliant colourists and bright representetives of the Moscow painting school.

The visitors are enabled to take a look at more than 60 pieces of art and to plunge into the atmosphere of genuine art when painting is a reflection of visible, an embodiment of general meaning of our life.

All painters are participants of numerous exhibitions in Russia and abroad. Their artworks can be found in state and private collections in Russia and abroad.

As a dream was built

"TNK Art" Gallery is pleased to present one of the exhibition projects of the season - "The lost names".

"TNK Art" gallery represents pieces of art by Soviet Russian painter Aleksey Lopukhin.

Aleksey Lopukhin’s pieces of works were created in socialist realism style. His works were lost and found again after 30 years of oblivion. The artist didn`t have time to show his paintings to public because of his yearly death.

The painter was burn in a small village near the Moscow. In 1950th he studied in the Surikov Art Institute in Moscow. He also took part in numerous local exhibitions in his own town.

His works were well known among his contemporaries in the Soviet Union. His creations are lyric, life and full of memories and nostalgia.

The visitors have chance to touch the world of Soviet reality, distant and near at the same time.

“Expression”

 "Expression”: The State Russian Museum – the TNK Art gallery

"TNK Art" Gallery is pleased to open the exhibition season with one of the outstanding projects - "Expression". This is a solo display of artworks by Doctor of art Gregory Dembovski – one of the significant painters of the present. He was afforded the honour of representing current trends of present-day Russian art in the State Russian museum. Gregory Dembovski is one of the intriguing names for contemporary audience. He is neither a "traditionalist” nor a "contemporary” painter. Having experienced the influence of the famous "Moscow painting style” of the XIX-XX century he developed his own manner of painting rather closed to German expressionism as well as French fauvism. Gregory Dembovski’s painting is not a kind of narrative art, but parable used as the essentials of all his creativity. Gregory Dembovski was born in Moscow in 1955. He is a participant of numerous exhibitions in Russia and abroad including the auction of Soviet art in Chicago (1991), displays in the Contemporary Art Museum in Madrid, Art Salon in Geneva. His artworks can be found in state and private collections in Moscow and abroad. Project curator – Kira Krein.
